Pokhara, Nepal

Remember when you wanted what you currently have and most of your dreams have already come true...

This year marks 8 years since I left my comfort zone to chase my dreams and explore the world. For the past crazy 8 years I've been incredibly lucky to live in Malaysia, moved to the USA then back to Singapore plus travel to another 28 countries. Never in wildest dreams would I have thought I'd have what I do now. A dream job, perfect health, beautiful family, friends, and colleagues, my dream home, opportunities to travel, create, play, help others, oh even dance my heart out ! Even though life isn't always about rainbows and butterflies, and I still ask myself everyday how and where did I get such courage to keep going when giving up was the easiest option.

I went to Nepal last October to celebrate my 8th anniversary 'on the road'. Magical place, magical people.  I've been dreaming about this country for years, in fact having worked for Disney ( if you're familiar with Disney's Animal Kingdom, I'm sure you know Anandapur Village ) inspired me to experience and find my own Nepal.

It was one of the most humbling experiences in my life. I learned everything is temporary. Nothing is permanent in this world. In the end everything has to go, no matter how beautiful we are.
Looking at these pictures I took when I was in Pokhara for 4 days reminded me of warm and kind Nepali, imagination turns into reality, a long walk and hike to World Peace Pagoda ( hundreds of stairs but don't forget to stop and enjoy the view), peaceful Phewa lake, lazy afternoons spent at Metro Crepes having nutella crepe and ginger tea, conversation with my little hero Krishna, Raj Ojha and his family who manage Pushpa Guesthouse.
