In Her Shoes

These past few weeks ( or for as long as I can remember ) life has been full. From the photoshooting I did with one of my favorite brands and it went live this morning on UNIQLO, to my recent collaboration with Trip 101 and International Living. Also I had a chance to audition with a theatre community over here ( after almost 2 years off from centerstage, it felt good to be back under the spotlight ) and eventually I started to see huge progress at work too.

2 years ago I worked at Disney World sharing my passion about tourism and Indonesian culture, I can honestly say it was one of the most prolific life-changing experiences I've had thus far. Opened my eyes to all the possibilities this world could provide and if you really want something, a big change in your life, you can make it happen. 2 years later, I get to curate playlists for every mood and genre at Spotify.  Wow what a difference two years make ! I still remember last year when my best friend told me how my life would change for the better, I just never thought it would be this huge ! I spend hours at work listening to music, discover new talents, tell a story through playlists ! Nothing beats having your work appreciated so much, to know people love your curation, the new artists get noticed by new fans, and I bring back so much nostalgia and emotions by featuring old songs - ohh that feeling just... amazing ! It makes coming to work totally worth it. At some point I keep asking myself what else can I do today ? What's next ? Wish I could slow down a bit but when there's so much happening in life, you just can't wait to win some more.

There was something tremendously powerful about her. Like the sea it never mattered whether she was still and serene or in the throes of a storm, there was always a danger of drowning

The stars will remind us of the beauty in our struggles and we won't feel so lost anymore

Flashing back to a weekend well spent with my loved ones in Bangkok. We celebrated all the great things life has given us and just a huge amount of love I've received...of course with a lot of good food, movies, drinks, stories, laughs remembering good old days working at Disney World and my 360 days on the road exploring more than 50 cities, 12 countries, 3 continents - feeling small under starry night skies but so powerful to make changes.

If there's any place in this world that left a very special mark in my life, that'd be Bangkok. Last year when I was on a huge mission to create my own path, I started and eventually ended my adventure in Bangkok. I learnt the greatest thing travel has taught me is to let go. Some days you just have to live with the uncertainty, get comfortable being uncomfortable and it's totally OK to fail or lose..just as long as you promise yourself to get up, work hard, believe in how far you can go. In a culture that seeks quick results, we must learn the beauty of effort, patience and perseverance. Be strong, present and steadfast.

Those good old days I spent at my best friend's apartment, starring outside the window just watching the sunset while wondering where life's taking me next... I remember my heart said "you're going to better places. There's a great possibilities waiting somewhere behind buildings or sunset, just keep going, you're almost there sweetheart !"

...and I kept going. Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Laos, Vietnam, back to Bangkok for a little break -whenever I need mango sticky rice, thai tea, a lot of support and kind words from my sweethearts, then continue my journey again to Vietnam, Cambodia, with one last night bus to Bangkok before I moved on to a bigger adventure.  I was really lucky to get to experience the world, learn from every places I visited and always take a bit of inspiration from strangers I met. Still, wouldn't make it where I am now without your unconditional love... you all know who you are.
