If you were born in the 90s and spent your childhood watching Lizzie McGuire or the Olsen Twins little adventure on New York Minute or When in Rome - that's pretty much how my curiosity about the world grew. You just couldn't help dreaming about all these strange places you can't even pronounce. And poof !!! The universe conspired to make it happen just for you.
I visited Rome for the very first time in April 2015. While everyone told me how much they loved Rome, unfortunately I had different opinion. Well perhaps because it was gloomy and raining all day when I arrived. Then I got my second chance to return recently, after a great week exploring Capri and Positano - I decided to continue the mini vacation to Rome and play tourist. Pretending I was this Lizzie McGuire on a movie lost in little alleys of Rome while trying to find her way back to the hotel ( and when googlemaps didn't help at all, I just had a glass of wine instead ).
The city smells like summer. Clear blue skies. Wine. Effortlessly chic Italian walked down the street like it's a fashion week, with Roman buildings make a perfect backdrop. Honey, how can you NOT in love ?
And I wonder, if all these things that remind me of you, remind you of me..
Still, learning to let go...
