A life worth celebrating

I'm coming home... tell the world i'm coming home...

Flashing back to my last day working at Disney World few years ago, I told myself Disney was just the beginning. There was no doubt at all the next episode will be even bigger and better. Of course it was hard to leave my little family back in Orlando and all the sweet routines ( like fireworks, festival of Lion King, Epcot food & wine, rollercoaster ride, etc.. ), I mean how the hell am I supposed to deal with the real world after a wonderful life in Disney World ? But princess has to grow up. Just like Rapunzel always wanted to leave her tower, well I wanted to grow too. I wanted to meet new people, see new places, create something cool, work with interesting people to make dreams come true, have a new home, dress up and catch train to work. Adult life. So it was just the right time for me to leave my comfort zone and start all over again. At the beginning many people asked me what's next, what am I gonna do after Disney ? Well obviously I had no idea, and I didn't feel like I need to prove or compete with anyone, all I knew I had this huge white canvas in front of me, with all space and time I ever needed to redesign my life again. It's ALWAYS exciting to start over.  Now that I could look back on the long journey I went through, my curiosity and love for life lead me from Orlando to more than 50 cities, across 3 continents, 22 countries, and ended up myself in Singapore. I couldn't be more proud of myself. And the best way to celebrate all victories ? Going home to the happiest place on earth...Disney World, where it all started. With Thanksgiving coming up soon ( well that's just a good excuse to eat Turkey ), I just want to be home with my favorite people, have a walk around Disney World,  revisit Winter Park, eat American food as much as I can, watch Wishes and the Festival of Lion King. Simply to remind myself again how incredibly lucky and blessed I am to live such an extraordinary life.

Continue to fight for what's right, it is worth it.

If you can dream it, you can do it !

2015 Recap

Happy New Year everyone !
I decided to share some of my highlights of 2015 just so whenever I need some motivation, I can always look back, take pride in how far I've come and have faith in how far I can go.
2015 has been one of the greatest years in my life. It's not always easy, in fact some days were tough and challenging but every struggle arises for a reason. For experience or a lesson. While everything in life is temporary, I learn to enjoy the present, make the most of every day. The past 12 months was all about chasing dreams and watching them all came true. Started with Disney World, Mexico, then Euro trip for 3 months, continue to Club Med Cherating for a month then South East Asia trip. Of course it was more than just visiting new places, I met waaay too many wonderful people, reunited with some good old friends, I got lost and found myself, fell in love, had opportunities to write for magazines and travel websites and finally landed myself a dream job with one of the biggest music companies. I am grateful for all the love and support I have received from friends and family, life's surprises, tough times and challenges, my bravery and perfect health, the courage to continue and the new beginning I am living now.
I hope 2016 brings all of us new hopes and aspirations.

New York is Love

New York is Love
A quick post from New York before I'm sharing with you soon on the blog about my recent trip in South East Asia a month ago and I'm coming back this weekend to work on a special project with one of the best boutique hotels in Saigon.
I found this book New York Is... when I was visiting The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Never thought so many words can describe what New York really is til I open the book and enjoy reading every single page.
If you could describe New York in one word, what would it be ? For me, love is one really strong word describes New York best. I arrived here last March for the first time, and it wasn't difficult at all to fall in love with the people, the city- oh even the hustle-bustle too, the theaters, lights, food, fashion, ambitions. The whole atmosphere, energy, colors, movements inspired you. I could just pretend to be Carrie Bradshaw take a stroll along SoHo or Times Square, admiring couples fall in love, those fashionable people from distance and curious about their stories, daydreaming maybe after Disney - I can land myself a job here. Who knows ?

Postcards from Magic Kingdom

Here's the thing about working at Disney World, you could never get sick of the castle at the Magic Kingdom. Well, maybe a little bit, as a cast member, you probably have the love and hate relationship with Magic Kingdom, especially to know how the park can be brutally hectic during some big holidays, but as a fan of Disney - this place will always have that magic and isn't it why they call it the happiest place on earth ? When I started working with the company - I was very lucky to get a chance doing the backstage tour, to see with my own eyes all the little details and how the dream factory bring the fantasies into life. The magic did not stop there, everyday there's always a thing or two...in fact too many things you can learn from the biggest entertainment company in the world. Surrounded by creative people in a very dynamic and international working environment, I still have to pinch myself sometimes for being incredibly lucky to experience all the great things, including one very looooong night where we had to filming for a commercial break from 11 pm to 5 am with my partner in crime Kathalizsa. Got to see some creative people playing with the lights at the castle was one of my favorite moments in Disney World, it was truly inspiring - to prove me once again the power of hard work, persistence and dream. I decided to share few photos of the castle here on my personal blog to remind me how far I've come and I definitely look forward to many more adventures in life... Asia next week ?

Take Me Somewhere Only We Know

One unforgettable magical morning ( also the sweetest date... ) with Orlando Hot Air Balloon to experience what is it like to step into a dream. Been living in Orlando for a year I had no idea at all you can do hot air balloon ride in the neighboring town Kissimeee. The sun hasn't even risen yet when the staff picked us up, after almost 20 minutes drive we finally arrived in an empty land where some other tourists were waiting patiently while the balloon crew started to take out the equipment from the truck. It was as if you were in the scene of movie Up where Mr Carl Fredricksen took you up up and away... For once, I felt like time stop ticking for few seconds, my mind was drowning somewhere to dreamland, my head almost touch the sky. There's something truly beautiful yet powerful about the sun arise. It breathes new hope, new beginning, another promising day. Orlando looked so peaceful from above, the pilot then took us closer to Disney World area, for an hour he let me daydreaming away, he also let other couples celebrating their love, continued with champagne toasts and breakfast. Honestly, I wouldn't mind at all waking up to a stunning sunrise like this every morning. Now if you're planning to visit Orlando anytime soon, or want to surprise your beloved ones...there's a lot of excuses to celebrate life, go contact the professional team at Orlando Hot Air Balloon to book your spot.
